A Walk To Remember

May17

“A Walk to Remember” by Nicholas Sparks is indeed a book to remember.

I first read the book during my junior year in high school. I read it after I was inspired by the book-titled movie. From then on, I have always believed in fairy tales with happy endings. From then one, I have always regarded myself as a hopeless romantic lass.

While I was cleaning my closet the other weekend, I stumbled upon the book. I took it out from where it was placed and started flipping the pages again.

This time, I highlighted some of the lines that struck me much. They are enumerated below:

“First you will smile, and then you will cry — don’t say that you haven’t been warned.” (by Nicholas Sparks)

“Well, you know it’s love when all you want to do is spend time with the other person, and you sort of know that the other person feels the same way.” (Landon talking to Jamie when she asked how he realized it was love)

“You’re beautiful.” (Landon to Jamie during the play, he actually meant it)

“Well, I don’t think that we’re meant to understand it all the time. I think that sometimes we just have to have faith.” (Landon answering Jamie’s question if he ever feels that he doesn’t understand the message the Lord gives us)

“What’s your heart telling you to do?” (Landon’s Mom)
“I don’t know.” (Landon)
“Maybe, you’re trying too hard to hear it.” (Landon’s Mom)

“Will you marry me?” (Landon asking Jamie in the hospital despite Jamie’s terrible health situtaion…before Jamie died, both of them got married)
